Caffeine Caster is a new program designed to offer broadcasters new and unique opportunities to stand out from the crowd, connect with other creators, and engage with their audience in new ways.

How do I become a Caffeine Caster?
Anyone who meets the minimum requirements in the 3 months prior to each cycle will be eligible. Newly eligible broadcasters will receive an email prior to the cycle start to opt in, while those already in the program who continue to meet the requirements will automatically retain Caster status.
Do I have to apply for the Caster program?
Nope! However, you must opt in to receive the Caster benefits. If you are eligible to participate, you will be notified at the email attached to your Caffeine account one week prior to the cycle start date. This email will provide opt in instructions.
What are the minimum requirements to be eligible for the program?
You must hit the following milestones at the end of that 3-month evaluation period to join the next cycle:
- Broadcast at least 30 hours (~10hours/month or 2.5 hrs/week)
- Broadcast on at least 20 different days*
- An average of at least 1 viewer across all broadcasts**
*Must be live for 30 minutes to qualify as a broadcast
**This is calculated by taking the total length of time that viewers watch your broadcast divided by the total length of time that you are broadcasting. For further clarification DM Reno on Discord.
The following minimum requirements also apply:
- At least 100 followers
- No bans or offenses on your account
- Must be at least 13 years of age
When is eligibility determined?
Eligibility is determined four times annually, one week prior to the start of each quarterly cycle.
When do the cycles start and what other dates should I put on my calendar?
The four cycles will begin January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.
For each cycle, the Qualification Period is the window of time we’re looking at to determine whether you’ve met the requirements for the program. At the end of this period (also the beginning of the opt in period), all eligible broadcasters will receive an email invitation to join the program, beginning with that next cycle. (For example: Hit your broadcast requirements from January 1 - March 24, receive your opt in email March 25, Opt In on or before March 31, gain access to benefits as early as April 1.)
Can I track my progress toward eligibility?
We will track your progress internally, but we also recommend tracking your own hours. If you would like to formally check in, please reach out to Reno on Discord.
I no longer wish to participate, what do I do?
As part of the Caster program, you will receive the benefits shared above, including a Caster Badge. You will also receive an opportunity to be featured, a special Discord role, and access to a special channel in Discord. If, for any reason, you wish to leave the program and forfeit these benefits immediately, please message Reno on Discord. Alternatively, if you are no longer eligible at the beginning of the next cycle, your benefits will be automatically revoked.
What is this badge I keep hearing about?
Casters will receive a badge by their name that will be seen in the lobby and on broadcasts.
I’ve received an email and opted in to the program. When should I receive my benefits?
You should begin to see your benefits within ten days after you opt in.
What happens after I opt in to the Caster program?
To maintain your Caster status once you're in the program, you must maintain the minimum requirements for each cycle. Please keep an eye on the Caster Discord for additional opportunities, as we're working on some new and exciting programs that will be launching soon.
How do I make sure I'm subscribed to gold redemption and update emails?
When you opt in to the program, you will be added to an email list for program updates. This is a different list than gold redemption, which you must turn on in your Caffeine account settings. Under "Notifications", make sure the box next to "Community Updates" is checked to receive your gold.
How do I know who else is in the program and get in contact with them?
Caster participants will receive a badge on their Caffeine account, which will be visible anywhere their username appears on Caffeine. Participants will also be given the "Caster" role on Discord and gain access to a private Discord channel, where you can find updates from the Caffeine community team, collaboration opportunities, and an engaged group of other content creators.
I have to go away and will miss a few weeks/months of the program, what happens to my participation/badging?
We understand that life happens, and where possible, we want to allow some flexibility to take that into account. If you encounter a rare interruption and would like to discuss options for your participation in the program, please message Reno directly in Discord. Please note that these discussions should be rare, and that in certain cases, our suggestion may be to step away from the program for a cycle and return when your schedule allows it.
What does it mean to have a ban or offense on my account?
If your broadcasts, messages, or account violate our Terms of Service or Community Rules, you may receive a warning or even a short-term ban. If any action is taken against your account for such a violation, a note will be sent to your Caffeine registered email. Though having received one of these warnings does not automatically disqualify you from being a Caster, the severity and frequency of your previous violations may impact your eligibility for the program.
How do I report inappropriate content from other Casters?
If ever you see inappropriate broadcasts or messages on Caffeine, whether it involves a Caster or not, we encourage you to use the in-platform report feature to alert our moderation team in-the-moment. If you’re particularly concerned regarding repeat violations of the Terms of Service or Community Rules by a Caster, or otherwise witness misuse of Caster status, please feel free to message Reno directly on Discord to report it.
